Urban Design and Development

Guiding Coconut Creek's growth through thoughtful planning, high-quality design, and responsible development.

The Urban Design and Development Division's work ensures that new projects support the City’s vision of a vibrant, sustainable, and connected community.

The Division administers the Land Development Code, which establishes the standards for zoning, site design, and land use throughout the City. We oversee long-range planning, site plan review, and development approvals to promote orderly growth while preserving Coconut Creek’s unique character.

By working closely with residents, businesses, and developers, the Urban Design and Development Division helps shape attractive neighborhoods, thriving business districts, and well-designed public spaces that enhance the quality of life for all who live, work, and visit Coconut Creek.

Land Development Code

The Division administers the Land Development Code (LDC), which establishes the standards for zoning, site design, and land use throughout the City. Using the LDC, we oversee long-range planning, site plan review, and development approvals to promote orderly growth while preserving Coconut Creek’s unique character. The City's Land Development Code is available on Municode.
