A Miami man arrested for firing a gun in the parking lot of the Waterview Apartments in North Creek is the basis for this Coconut Creek Police Department Arrest Alert. With the help of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, detectives arrested Benje Pierre, age 22, of Miami early Tuesday morning in the 1400 block of NE 18th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. He’s charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a gun while committing a felony, and illegally firing a gun in public. The victim was known to Pierre and was not hurt. The incident happened at 2:49 p.m. on September 21st. Pierre left the scene before officers arrived. Detectives then tracked him to Fort Lauderdale. Pierre is currently in the Broward County Main Jail.
