Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off 8/15
The City of Coconut Creek will host a Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Drop-Off Event on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 4800 West Copans Road.
The event gives residents a convenient way to safely dispose of household hazardous materials and unwanted electronics that should not be placed in regular household garbage. Drop-off service is free, and proof of residency is required.
Accepted household hazardous waste includes:
- Paint, paint thinner and stripper
- Motor oil, engine coolant and other automobile fluids
- Pesticides and insecticides
- Fertilizers and pool chemicals
- Fluorescent tubes
- Rechargeable, automotive and marine batteries
- Propane tanks
Household hazardous waste that will not be accepted includes:
- Biohazard or medical waste
- Explosives
- Tires
- Waste generated by businesses
- Alkaline batteries, including AA, AAA, C, D and 9V batteries
Accepted electronic waste includes:
- Computers and monitors
- Keyboards and computer mice
- Printers and scanners
- Cell phones
- Televisions
- Rechargeable batteries
Electronic items that will not be accepted include:
- Office furniture
- Stereos and speakers
- Appliances and microwave ovens
- Electronic hand tools
- Trash or debris
