The Coconut Creek City Commission has selected Commissioner Jeffrey Wasserman as Mayor and Commissioner John Brodie as Vice Mayor for the 2026/2027 term. The appointments were made during the Commission’s March 26th meeting, with both leaders chosen from among their fellow commissioners to serve one-year terms. Wasserman, a former educator and community advocate, steps into the mayoral role focused on civic engagement and thoughtful city development, while Brodie, a longtime resident and active community leader, will serve as Vice Mayor. Together, they are expected to continue advancing initiatives that support quality of life, community involvement, and sustainable growth in Coconut Creek.
