Back to School Spelling Bee
Put your spelling skills to the test at the Back to School Spelling Bee! Participants will compete in a fun and friendly spelling competition, with prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each session.
Program Details
- Ages 8 to 11, as of August 31, 2027.
- Participants will compete in sessions based on their grade level.
Schedule
Session 1 – 2nd & 3rd Grade (Ages 8–9)

Time: 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM
Session 2 – 4th & 5th Grade (Ages 10–11)
Date: Tuesday, August 18, 2026
Time: 6:45 PM – 7:30 PM
Fees
- Coconut Creek Resident: $5
- Non-Resident: $10
Resident Verification Requirements
To qualify as a Coconut Creek resident, provide:
- State-issued driver's license or valid passport for identification.
- One of the following (dated within the last two months):
- Valid voter registration card
- Water bill
- Cable bill
- Electric bill
Credit card payment only.

- Registration is ongoing until full.
- Space is limited to 20 participants per session.

- Walk-in registration available at:
- Community Center, 1100 Lyons Road
- Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Boulevard
- You must have a WebTrac account prior to registering online.
- Visit either walk-in location for assistance with setting up a WebTrac account.
- Bring proof of residency, if applicable, and a copy of a birth certificate for each minor on the account for legal guardianship and age verification purposes.
