Girls Basketball League 2026
The Girls Basketball League provides a fun and competitive environment for girls to stay active, develop basketball skills, and build teamwork throughout the season. Participants will take part in evaluation clinics, regular season games, playoffs, and a championship tournament.
League Details
- Basketball league for girls ages 8 to 15
- Age requirement: participant must be age 8 to 15 as of August 31, 2027
- Includes 3 evaluation clinics, 10 regular season games, playoffs, and championship
- Jersey and shorts included
- Divisions may be adjusted depending on registration numbers
Age Divisions
- 12U: Ages 8 to 12 (during league ages 7 to 11)
- 15U: Ages 13 to 15 (during league ages 12 to 15)
League Schedule
Evaluation Clinics
Dates: Saturdays, June 13, June 20, and June 27, 2026
12U Division: 10:00 AM
15U Division: 11:00 AM
Practices
Start Date: Week of July 6, 2026
Practice days and times will be communicated after teams are selected.
No practices on August 17, September 7, and September 21.
Games
Dates: August 11 through October 3, 2026
Game Days: Depending on division, games may be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
No games on August 18, September 5, and September 12. Dates are subject to change depending on registration numbers.
Fees
- $130 for Coconut Creek residents
- $180 for non-residents
Resident Verification Requirements
To qualify as a Coconut Creek resident, provide:
- State-issued driver’s license or valid passport for identification

One of the following as proof of residency:
- Valid voter registration card
- Water bill
- Cable bill
- Electric bill
Bills cannot be more than two months older than the submission date.

Volunteer Coaches Needed
Volunteer coaches are needed for the season. If interested, contact the Recreation Complex at 954-956-1580 or email CreekSportsGirlsBBall@coconutcreek.gov .
Applications and background screening with fingerprinting are required.
Lack of volunteer coaches could affect division capacities, resulting in early registration closure or redistribution of division ages.
Youth Sports Coach’s Incentive Policy
- Discount valid for one head coach and one assistant coach; discounts cannot be combined or stacked
- Discount applies to only one child per team, per sport
- Coaching multiple children in different age divisions within one sport qualifies for additional discounts
- Coach must attend at least 80% of games and practices
- Coach must maintain good sportsmanship as determined by the league coordinator
- No degrading remarks, profanity, unsportsmanlike conduct, yellow cards, red cards, or infractions from referees or league coordinators
- Coaches must attend training and rules presentations conducted by Parks & Recreation staff prior to the season
- Head coaches receive a $50 discount and assistant coaches receive a $25 discount at the end of the season if all requirements are met

- Visit either walk-in location for assistance with setting up a WebTrac account
- Bring proof of residency and a copy of a birth certificate for each minor on the account for legal guardianship and age verification
