5K Butterfly Run 2026

The City of Coconut Creek Parks and Recreation Department invites participants of all ages to its annual 5K Butterfly Run, a USA Track & Field large-scale certified race.

The City of Coconut Creek Parks and Recreation Department invites participants of all ages to its annual 5K Butterfly Run, a USA Track & Field large-scale certified race. The first 700 registrants will receive a Sport-Tek long sleeve shirt, and the first 700 finishers will earn an official finisher medal. All runners are chip-timed from start to finish. Participants using strollers or walking are asked to start toward the back of the race pack, and pets are not permitted on the course.

Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age category, as well as the top three overall male and female finishers. Additional awards include first-place male and female Masters, Grand Masters, and Coconut Creek resident finishers. The morning will feature DJ music, a grab-and-go breakfast, and sponsor stations offering giveaways. Butterfly-themed attire is encouraged.

The event takes place on Sunday, February 1 at Tradewinds Park, 3600 West Sample Road. Check-in begins at 5:30 AM, and the race starts promptly at 7:00 AM. Please note that no one will be allowed to enter the park after 6:50 AM.

Registration is $35 for ages 18 and older and $20 for ages 17 and younger. Registration opens on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, and will remain available online only at RunSignup.com until full or through January 31.
