Engineering Permits

An Engineering permit is required for all Engineering improvements and construction under city jurisdiction pursuant to the City's Code of Ordinances (Section 13-40 - Engineering permits).
Pursuant to Section 13-169.4.g. of the City's Code, water and wastewater impact fees shall be adjusted quarterly based upon increases in utility construction costs as evidenced by the quarterly construction cost index published in Engineering News Record Magazine, entitled "U.S. - 20 Cities Construction Cost Index." Impact fee revisions from Broward County will be directly passed through and impact fees adjusted accordingly.

The following rates are in effect:
Rates within the City | $5,583.92 |
Rates outside the City | $6,979.90 |
Engineering improvements include:
- Clearing & grubbing
- Parking lots
- Driveways (new and rehab)
- Utilities (ATT/Comcast/FPL/TECO)
- Earthwork
- Jack & bore/directional bore
- Paving-drainage
- Water - Wastewater
Permit submission requirements:
- Project Plans:
- Small Projects - 3 sets, signed and sealed.
- Major Projects - 2 full sets and 3 reduced sets, signed and sealed.
- Current contractor's licenses, insurance, and Workman's Comp information.
- Executed cost estimate.
