New EV Charging Stations
The City partnered with FPL to install new FREE EV charging stations on City property. The new chargers are located at City Hall, Windmill Park, and the Recreation Complex. You must download the Chargepoint app to use the chargers. The app identifies all the Chargepoint EV chargers in the area and also indicates if the chargers are available for use. Please be courteous by only parking in these spots while charging and remove the vehicle after use. #SustainableCreek
Electric Vehicle Charging Station for City Fleet Vehicles
The City currently has three (3) fully electric vehicles in its fleet. In early 2023, a dual electric vehicle charging station was installed in the City Public Works Yard. To meet the City’s goal of adding electric vehicles, a second dual charging station was installed in August 2023. This growth of the City fleet with electric vehicles ensures our alignment with adaptable and progressive mobility, one of the key areas of focus for Vision 2030.
Electric Vehicle Mapping
We are expanding electric vehicle charging throughout the City. We are identifying all charging stations in the city and placing them on the City's GIS mapping system. This will allow us to identify areas that lack this needed infrastructure to ensure availability to all and will support efforts to secure grant funding for this initiative.
