The Coconut Creek Police Department arrested three teens this afternoon for setting off firecrackers yesterday (February 25) inside a hallway at Coconut Creek High School. It happened at 1:35 p.m. during dismissal. The sound obviously created panic throughout the school and resulted in a large police response. The teens were charged with interfering with a school day, possession of a destructive device on school property, and the exhibition of a destructive device on school property. The three teens were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center in Fort Lauderdale.
