Parks and Recreation Month 2026: "The Power of..."

This July, join the City of Coconut Creek in celebrating Parks & Recreation Month 2026, “The Power Of…,” an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). Residents of all ages are invited to enjoy a month filled with fitness activities, sports, outdoor adventures, family programs, craft projects, games, and much more throughout the City.

Recreation Complex Activities

Location: Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Boulevard

  • Creative Recycled Crafts – Wednesday, July 1 • 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Disco Dance Party – Thursday, July 2 • 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Red, White and Blue Splash Pad Fun – Friday, July 3 • 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Summer Arts and Crafts – Monday, July 6 • 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Board Game Challenge – Tuesday, July 7 • 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Trivia Challenge Night – Wednesday, July 8 • 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Plant A Seed Craft Activity – Thursday, July 9 • 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Family Kickball Night at Lyons Creek Middle – Friday, July 10 • 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Family Volleyball Fun – Saturday, July 11 • 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Ages 5 and older • Free to participate • Registration required

Creek Fit North Activities

Location: Creek Fit North, 4455 Sol Press Boulevard

  • Class Pass – Monday, July 13
    All fitness classes held on July 13 are free; registration required the day before as space is limited
  • Anatomy Academy Trivia with Creek Fit – Tuesday, July 14
    Spin the Wheel of Anatomy for a chance to win a prize by correctly answering trivia questions
  • Class Pass – Wednesday, July 15
    All fitness classes held on July 15 are free; registration required the day before as space is limited
  • You vs. Creek Fit Staff Squat Challenge – Thursday, July 16
  • Uno Game Workout – Friday, July 17 • 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
    Every card played corresponds to an exercise and number of repetitions

Free to participate • Guest daily waiver required • Participants ages 15 to 17 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the waiver

Sabal Pines Park Activities

Location: Sabal Pines Park, 5005 NW 39th Avenue

Get to Know Your Park Rangers

Visit City parks throughout July and meet all nine Coconut Creek Park Rangers. Learn their names and submit your completed list to the Sabal Pines Park office by July 31 to receive a prize.
