Holocaust Remembrance
Join us for a moving Holocaust Remembrance experience.

Cattle Car Exhibition: 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM
The Holocaust Remembrance event will begin with the Hate Ends Now Cattle Car exhibition. This immersive, interactive installation has a profound impact on all who experience it. Visitors step inside an authentic replica of a World War II cattle car, where survivor testimony, narration, and multimedia elements illustrate the inhumane conditions endured by millions of victims. The exhibit encourages reflection, dialogue, and a deeper understanding of the consequences of hatred, antisemitism, and intolerance, reinforcing the importance of remembrance and education. The Cattle Car will be on display in the Coconut Creek Government Center courtyard (4800 West Copans Road) and will be accessible by advance registration only, with viewings scheduled in 30-minute intervals. Time slots must be reserved CoconutCreek.gov/CattleCar.
Holocaust Memorial Sculpture Unveiling: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
The Cattle Car Exhibition will be followed by a Holocaust Memorial unveiling of the City’s first public art installation at the Government Center, a sculpture by renowned artist Marit Meisler. Titled Generations, the 10-foot sculpture is inspired by the Kindertransport and serves as a powerful tribute to the resilience and enduring spirit of the Jewish people in the aftermath of the Holocaust. The work features silhouettes of children cut from solemn steel, directly referencing the children depicted in the Kindertransport memorials created by the artist’s father, Frank Meisler. This portion of the event is also available by advance registration only, with seating limited to 200 attendees. To register for the unveiling, please call 954-956-1580.
Admission is free to the public, space is limited and both are by registration only.
