Sunshine Drive Boil Water Notice

On Friday, October 17, 2025, a water main break occurred on Sunshine Drive in Coconut Creek due to construction work by a contractor, causing a service disruption for approximately 40 nearby residents. As a precautionary measure, the City of Margate Department of Environmental & Engineering Services (DEES) Utilities is issuing a PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE, effective immediately, for the affected residents.

Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled until further notice. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

Please note: Anyone who does not receive a door hanger or whose address is not cross-hatched on the map does not need to boil their water.

This “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until the repair has been completed and two consecutive days of bacteriological surveys are satisfactory, at which point a rescission notice will be distributed.
