CCPD Arrest Alert

A check forger who couldn’t outrun the police is the basis for this Coconut Creek Police Department Arrest Alert. Officers arrested Jermill Daniel, age 34, of Lauderhill last Friday, October 10th, after he tried to cash a pair of phony checks at the Citi Bank branch on Coconut Creek Parkway. Daniel got nervous after he found out the bank tellers were onto him and called police. He sprinted out the door. Officers apprehended him following a short foot chase. They charged him with identity theft, trying to pass those fraudulent checks, evidence tampering for trying to rip them up before he got caught, and running from the police. He was taken to the Broward County Jail.
